TASK: Read any book of guidance and counseling and summarize by identifying the strengths and weaknesses






Guidance  is a  process or  a tools  that  enable  and  individual  to  discover  the  ways  to recognize his/her inherent strength  (kinra ,2008 ).
 Guidance’s refer to the process acquainting the individual with various way endowments so that special way including special training  in which  he may  discover  his natural  endowment so that  he make a living to his own  best advantages and that of the society (united state office of education 1918)
Guidance is  an  assistance  provide  by a component  counseling  to an individual  of any  ago  to help  him  direct  his  life  develop his own  point of view ,makes his own decision  and carry his own burdens (crow and crow 1962).
Generally guidance is an aspect in human life which is concerned with helping assist them to become adjusted to his her present situation and plan future in line with their interest ability band social need. Guidance is a process in human life of each an individual able to do solve their problem and the pursue  a way which suited their abilities and aspirations it make the use of psychology to determine the attitude and aspirations.
It makes the use of psychology to determine the attitude, interest, intelligence, personality and the discipline of education for providing  right and suitable assistance ;it is long process start from a child hood ,adolescence and over old ages ,through this help a person to identify where to go ,what to do and how do for post accomplished of their goals .
Counseling is the application of personal of the school or the instructions to the solution of the problem that individual have (Humphery and Traxler 1962)
Counseling don’t means providing a service by means of which specifies  problem of an individual may be solved .the process should help the in gaining clear might into the  problem and achieving in self confidence.(Rogers 1942)
Counseling is person to person relationship in which one individual with problem and needs turns to another person for assistance (Erickosn 1962)
Generally counseling is a service offered to an individual who is undergoing a problem and need a progression help to overcome it. Counseling there fire is more specific service requiring training in personality development and handling exception Group of individual .it involves a lot of time for the client to unfold the problem gain an insight into the complex situation as it involves listening emphatic understand releasing the pent up feeling confronting the client and so on counseling therefore is offered to only those in individual who are serious problems and need professional help to overcome it.
                       NEED OF COUNSELING AND GUIDANCE
Guidance is a part and  parcel of human life ,it passes from childhood ,adult to over old age .it is very needed in our life especially now days due to changes into  social religious, economic , development , industry, cultural change which affects directly people into normal life as a result the emergency on need of guidance.(Kinra ,2008)
Counseling is interval part process of assistance need to extended by an expert in an individual situation to a need person is face to face who make available assistant to the need individual to fulfill their need demand.
 THE FOLLOWING ARE STRENGTH AND WEAKNESSES OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING
By using the book of guidance and counseling write by ASHA Kinra, 2008, explain the concept of guidance and counseling is following.
The concept of guidance become complex with science and technology in our daily life sphere .In order to adapt new modern life , guidance must played a great large  and we should depend on guiding each others.
Due to changes in environmental and psychology of human guidance and counseling change from normal service to scientific organization service provide by professional person to the client
         Starting with strength of guidance and counseling as follows
In this book an author wrote about the object of guidance and counseling in human life. According to author of book integrate the importance of guidance and counseling in every day human life. From this an author analysis the object of guidance and counseling for example through guidance and counseling   help to make individual aware of her/his inherent potential, interested, talents, and capabilities .To help a person to develop ability interest and skill way he can make a useful contribution to the society accounting to his capacity .this all was writing by author so as to encourage people not feel pity and inferior in the life in search they fail to move on instead to encourage them to stand on their own feel towards their need, interested and skill to achieve their goals.
Also the book integrates to guidance and counseling in educational system .an author Star. By definition education as knowledge imparted to students by a teacher on classroom. Author recommends that to a student by teachers in class rooms. Author recommend that education guidance in an important segment of guidance program .it is an inseparable part of education hence it has a special significance .in integration of education with guidance and counseling the following outlined.
Relationship between education and counseling and guidance as the is inseparable and close relationship between these two due the following reasons, firstly the process of changing with in an individual. Both direct and indirect towards changes from one point to another for example if a student learnt about content there is no need of guidance but to bring about change through education on a student need a guidance .the second is education is education is instructions, when a teacher trying to help a student he way that suited him to be copied by students that is teaching but when teacher assistant the learners to choose a method that is a guidance. Also in educational as social task, man is social being into need the society to shape him mental and physical in this situation, guidance is need.
     Also a author explain  the way , significance of guidance and counseling in various stages of education an author started by explain significant of guidance and counseling in primary stage level of education so as to prevent a child from being a victim of adjustment and  cultural a good habitats for them to learn solving problems since they shift from families atmosphere to education atmosphere that  a complex and required guidance and counseling to them ,also in secondary level an author recommend that ,it is important to plant a child in secondary level with guidance so as  to building their own self are biological passed to them.
Also explain way of provide guidance and counseling to exceptional children exceptional children are different average from normal children whether extraordinary intelligence who are most more have guidance like to develop their talent further according to their ability potential and interested For example a child hearing impairment or eye sight decent must given guidance on how whether by using cassette also teacher  should need property and slowly so as to help them  to detect is learn in class.
Also the book author identify the Value of guidance and counseling .Counseling has been prevalent in human society in one from as the other ancient time immemorial with the change of time and social value complex of human problem had been gradually grown. Change in economics, social, religion and morals angle made the value of counseling sphere, nature size and meaning
Lasting with weakness of guidance and counseling from this book written by Kinra a case study of her book in case of guidance and counseling and able to provide challenge scope significance of guidance and counseling .this is weakness because she fail to understand research and survey about guidance and counseling to other part forexmple in Africa like Tanzania, Uganda, Niger
Conclusion
Guidance and counseling is an ancient programs that still alive up to now days in our life .it part and parcel of human life we act ,we do ,we change because of guidance and counseling because it is part of life and society at all it acts as an education that shape us.
