COLONIAL SOCIAL SERVICES.
Was the services which introduced by colonial government in 19century to ensure Colonial exploitation in Africa by introduce many social services objectives. The aims of establish these social services was to consolidate and facilitate colonization of africa.means that they were built to favor the colonial government settlers.
Example of colonial social services introduce by colonialist in social services as follows
        i.            Colonial education
      ii.            Water and housing services
    iii.            Colonial health services
Colonial education
Was a type of formal education that was introduced by Europeans or colonialist in africa but for the benefit the colonial government and not africans.want together with the establishment of schools high economic gain areas such as crop production areas.
Features of colonial education
a.       Colonial education were the pyramid shape. That means the number of students who started at lower level reduced as they went to higher level.
b.      Colonial education were built schools in area with economic importance such as Kenyan highlands which special for coffee production.
c.       Colonial education was provided to the sons of African chiefs.eg sons of jumbes and few daughter obtained this type of education
d.      School were built in urban areas and rural      not area because where most settlers.
e.       Education was based on European culture.eg training involve the use of foreign language such as English.

 Role of Colonial education
a.       To train Africans because can used as administrators for the lowest ports eg messengers and cheeks.
b.      Colonial education was introduced to train the sons and daughters of European colonial master together with Asians
c.       To produce Africa puppets
Impact of colonial education
a.       It produced educated people who organised their fellow Africans to fight for independence.eg J.k Nyerere.
b.      It kill education of Africa because the African education remained  in theory.
c.       It produced classes between educated  and non educated
d.      Colonial education led destruction of the African culture.egdressing and dancing
Colonial health services
Were established in the colonial state to serve colonial administrators, missionaries and traders as their primary aim. Also some Africans were served by the colonial healthy services as to maintain the minimum healthy standard of African, to continue providing the highly needed labor force to the colonial productions.
Colonial water and housing services
The mojor role of introducing these services was to attract the coming Europeans in africa.water and housing services was the provision of water and housing during that era was guided by the various rationale.forinstance
a.       To encourage the European settlement in the colonies
b.      Provided based on racial bases
c.       It was distributed depending on the economic importance of an area.
d.      The distribution pattern of water and housing services

The following was the characteristics of water and housing services
a)      Based on race
b)      Depended on the economic value of an area
c)      Areas for labourers had no housing of water services which were established by colonialists
d)     Based on religious grounds .eg missionary areas had better water.
e)      Impact of the provision of colonial water and housing services on Africa societies.
f)       Reinforced racial, classes in colonies
g)      Colonialists were marginalized and denied services created regional imbalances.
