Multimedia

Multimedia is the combination of text , graphics, picture , audio , animation and video which are everything we can see and hear in our daily life (Vaughan 2006). Multimedia include six main elements in application for the education purpose which are texts , images, audio, video etc.
Multimedia application refers to the uses of computer Technology to create, store and experience multimedia content (Singh 2007).
THE ELEMENTS OF MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION IN EDUCATION
We need to understand how to make each multimedia element together using educational multimedia computer tools. Educational multimedia applications combine those elements into a powerful new tool, especially in the hands of teachers or lecturers and students. Multimedia applications can be used in different activities, for example educations, businesses, homes and public places. For educational purposes, students can get variety of information for  to understanding by using multimedia applications. Educational multimedia applications are used to improve learning. the following are the main elements in multimedia applications.
Text is important element in multimedia applications; text can use to provide information and emphasize specific point by using different styles, fonts, and colours
Audio allows students to use their imagination without being biased, so it will greatly increase the learning outcome..
Image is an object that has more significant impact than merely reading about text in an educational session. Image can be added to multimedia applications by using colour scanner or digital camera. Examples of image are photographs, artworks, drawings. Thirdly, audio can be used to emphasize certain points and enables teachers to presents a lot of information at once rather than use printed learning resources.
,
Video is the element which used to present the information beyond the scope of the ordinary lecture room such as medical operations. The use of video to deliver information can be very powerful and immediately, it allows teachers or lecturers to highlight certain key points or tell the students what are going to do next and understand the real life situation. ,
Animation is used to demonstrate an idea or illustrate a concept; an object that appears blurry in video can be presented clearly in animation because it can view the changes of the object over time. Lastly, user control uses to provide students with the option to skip particular parts of the multimedia application and allow them to navigate other areas of that program. All of the elements are combined to provide a platform for students to maximize the effectiveness of educational purposes
USES OF MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION IN EDUCATION
1.Used as a source of information to deliver learning resources for students
2.Used to improve the learning process and increase the interaction between student's and lectures.
3. Make the lessons interested.
4.It allow users to interacted with the in information quickly.
5. Is used to provide computer based training course and reference books such as encyclopedia. a computer based training course let's the student go through a series of presentation text about a particular thing (Singh 2007).
6. Used to grabs student attention and generate classroom
7. It can influences way of teachers or lectures teach and way student learning.
WEAKNESS OF USED MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION IN EDUCATION
i) May lectures shift his role from instructor to facilitator.
ii) Students feel isolated and unsupported by teacher when they do not understand certain topic
iii) Also it's more useful in urban school only.

The following are among of selected modern electronic equipment
Electronic equipment (Technology can improve the way students lean and as well benefit the educator . Students and teachers can have ability of getting anything that's needed to their learning and teaching because it may be easier for them to get books or articles as well as any information
DESKTOPS AND LAPTOPS( Computer)
Teaching application and classroom software are being introduced into the technology market. This drive needs for school to get sophisticated computer with powerful processor to run the said applications. Classroom software helps in managing and storing of students record's computers contribute to abolishing the needs for bulky encyclopedia and dictionaries as students can quickly hook up information on the internet.
PROJECTORS
In a large classroom , all the students may not be able to view that the teaching is showing on the laptop screen that where projector come in . A projector hooks up to laptop and projects the screen to a larger white board in front of the classroom it allows students even those at the back to see a larger version of laptop screen.
VIDEO CONFERENCING CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGIES
Through video conferencing, students in different geographical locations can attend to a lecture through online streaming. Video conferences can be set up on Skype or Google Hangouts, and Guest Speakers can easily address the students. Video conferencing can help reduce travel costs and time required to give speeches at different places.
MOBILE LEARNING
Mobile devices enable learners to take their classrooms anywhere. There are more education apps available already that students, as well as teachers, can use. By using mobile devices, iPads, tablets, or other devices, educators and learners can maintain a connected classroom experience.
TELEVISION
Televisions can show current events in a country like economic, social, cultural and political, etc. They can also be used to play educational and instructional DVDs or videos on the history of a certain community.
DISTANCE LEARNING
Both schools and training institutions have developed  to facilitate distance learning. So the Students who find it in deep should attend a class,  or can not attend because of geographical locations and different purpose he or she can become part of the classroom by using video technology to learn.
