PROJECT PROPOSAL ON SWINE FARMING

1           Background

This project is aiming to develop living standard of the people in the rural areas of Morogoro district council by providing to them modern and low cost way of swine farming and letting them together with other stakeholders in order to reduce the productions costs, increasing productivity and increasing customers for their swine.

Basically this project is under the supervision of Mr&Mrs Godson Mkemwa, who are the CO founders of the project. They initiated the project on June 2019, but know want to expand the project more.

The project stated with the aim of having a large number of swine that they can be enough for the required demand, and to expand more market in and outside the country.

 

Thare are new techniques and new methods of raising swine that requires people joining into groups in order to share running’s cost such as vaccines cost, local brooder cost etc.

This project expecting to raise 10 up to more than 300swine in period of 1 year. And more in the coming year as the group keep on raising its capital.

1.1         Objectives

·         Getting people into groups and assisting them to work together

·         Increase productivity by proving to them new way of raising chickens

·         Letting them together with stakeholders

Monitoring and evaluation:

·         Measuring of the effectiveness of the project throughout the cost and production rate.

·         Standards is to produce 10 swine per month.

·         Measurement of actual performance.

·         Compare the standard with actual.

·         Take corrective action if needed.

3           Scope

This project is aimed at producing the best swine in the country, with quality and all standards.

There are four phases that swine go through to due date that they are sold, below is the budget of the four phases.
