The meaning of nation
Nation
is the group of people who live in one territory, form their own and share a
common government, culture, economy and history.
Nation
has several components such as territory, culture, sovereignty, people, and
government.
National
symbols
Are
signs which represent a nation and these symbols are very important as they
serve as a reminder of our nationhood to us and to rest of the world.
The
following are those nation symbols of our nation (Tanzania).

The national anthem
·
The uhuru touch
·
The national currency
·
The national flag
·
The national constitution
·
The coat of arms and
·
The presidential standard.
From
those national symbols let us know discuss one national symbol after another
1, NATIONAL ANTHEM
This
is the official song of the nation that is sung on special occasion like before
the president addresses the nation and after it, at the opening of
international events like football matches and conference.
2. THE UHURU TOUCH
This
is also known as independent torch. This is first lit on Mount Kilimanjaro at
midnight on 9th December, 1961. This was the day Tanganyika got
independent from Britain. It symbolized illumination of the whole country with
freedom, bringing love where there was hatred dignity.
3. NATIONAL
CURRENCY
Currency,
this is the system of money that a country uses. Our national currency is the
Tanzania shilling. Tanzania money is in the form of notes and coin.
4. THE NATIONAL FLAG.
Is
the piece of cloth with a special coloured designed. Our national flag has four
colours green, yellow, blue and black.
5. THE COAT OF ARMY
Is
the government logo or emblem. It is the official seal or stamp of the
government.
6. A COSTITUTION
This
is a system of laws and basic principles that a state, country or organization
is governed. It provides guidelines that the community must follow.
7. PRESIDENTIAL STANDARD
This
is a flag which is used during official ceremonies where the president is in
attendance
