INTRODUCTION
               Literature is an work of art which uses language creatively to covey or send in formations to the society, This simply is because literature is for the society and the main aims of literature is to express things which occurs in the society and change the society or in other hand literature is an imaginative work of art which employs authentic language in capturing human experiences in life. Literature is said to work of art since language used  in literature is creative in nature and  also involve systematic violation of ordinary speech and yet it remain meaning full, However there have  been both convergence and divergent views in making reflection of what literature is entails
               Literature is classified into two main types, it means there are two types of literature including oral literature and written literature, The oral literature as the type of literature that presented in form of speaking and was the first of literature to be used even before the intention of writings, This type owned by all members in the society including educated ones an all non educated people, written literature is second type that normally presented through writing  form, this emerged after the discovery of writings this belongs to few people  in the society including educated ones especially those who know to read to write.
               Literature comprised various elements including form and content, From refers to the superstructure of the literacy work that means how something is emerged and said the element found here are language use, plot style setting character as well as tittles, also content means every things that is being described in literary work includes these element such as themes message conflict philosophy and so on.
               Literature is among  of advantageous issue in the society since through having literature contributes to many positive result such as literature educates people within  society helps in developing language also hell in entertain people literature used to criticizes society as well as to express the culture of particular society in daily life, this is common since literature belongs to humanistic discipline due to fact that literature originate to human mind and the main aims  is to express  things occurring in the society at large where human is located example can express things such as poverty, betrayal , sacrifice ,classes exploitation and so on which are common mind.
               Generally the existence of literature lies on literary theories these are board of ideas concerning literature, hence no literature theories no literature since the literary theories are there to build the learner to focus and cover stock responses also help in evaluating literary works and expose them to useful term s which can be constantly being used when studying particular matter in work of literature ,Hence no literary theories no literature.
